The origin of the
was a little shop where Franz Martz repaired and modified
shoe-lasts.
1948
In
1948 his sons joined him in his business and the company
of Franz Martz & Sons was born.
In the beginning
made shoelasts out of beech wood. The major
part of the production went into the German casual shoe industry.
1970
In the early seventies
changed the raw material for its
lasts to plastic. This was the introduction of plastic technology to
and the starting point of the plastic component production.
The first plastic components
made were
heelcounters
followed by outsoles,insoleboards
and lace systems.
1988
Due to the migration of the sport-shoe industry to Asia
established its first subsidiary, the
Korea Co. Ltd. in Korea in 1988.
The step into Asia also opened the way to new customers and markets.
Today
is developing and producing components for the world
leading brands like
adidas
Nike
Puma
Reebok
and many others.
1994
In 1994 the P. T.
Plastic
Technology,
Indonesia was founded.
In 1994 the
Korea R & D center in
Pusan
was opened supporting all Asien
operations.
1998
In 1998 the production facility in China,
China Co. Ltd. at Dongguan City,
and its administration office,
Hong Kong Co. Ltd.
had been established.
2001
In September 2001
Vietnam Ltd.
started its operation supporting the extending business.
2002
In 2002
opened its second production facility in China,
Fuzhou Ltd.,
and started its production providing complete service to the local
customers with in house moldshop.
2004
In 2004
Headquarter
opens its new and renovated production facility in
Kunststofftechnik GmbH, Germany.

In November we celebrated the opening of our new R&D Center in Pusan supporting our costomers with extended service through newest mold-shop technology.
